A New Chapter Begins

Filming for God’s Not Dead: Rise Up has commenced in the picturesque locales of Rock Hill and Fort Mill, South Carolina¹. The production, which was initially slated for a 2023 release, faced delays, pushing the anticipated premiere to 2024¹. This new entry in the series promises to delve into the intertwining of faith and politics, a narrative that resonates deeply in today’s society.

The Plot Thickens

The story unfolds as a respected incumbent withdraws from a Congressional race, setting the stage for Reverend Dave Hill, portrayed by franchise producer David A.R. White, to consider a run for office¹. The ensuing political battle pits personal convictions against a backdrop of civil unrest and challenges the influence of religion on public policy.

Familiar Faces Return

Fans will be delighted to see familiar faces return to the screen. Alongside White, actors such as Dean Cain, Isaiah Washington, Ray Wise, Cory Oliver, and Brad Heller are set to reprise their roles¹. Under the direction of Harold Cronk, who has been at the helm since the original movie, the cast is poised to deliver another stirring chapter in the saga.

The Legacy Continues

The God’s Not Dead films, inspired by Rice Broocks’ book ‘God’s Not Dead: Evidence for God in an Age of Uncertainty,’ have left an indelible mark on Christian cinema¹. With a worldwide gross of over $100 million, the series has proven that stories of faith and conviction have a place in the hearts of audiences around the globe.

As we await the release of God’s Not Dead: Rise Up, the anticipation serves as a testament to the enduring impact of the series. It’s a reminder that cinema can be more than entertainment; it can be a catalyst for reflection and change.

The release date for God’s Not Dead: Rise Up is set for September 3rd, 2024. Still be subject to change, since it was suppose to come out last year, 2023.
