Who is R. Albert Mohler Jr.
Born in 1959 in Lakeland, Florida, Mohler grew up in a Christian home and became a committed believer at a young age. He earned his undergraduate degree from Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama, before going on to study at Southern Seminary, where he earned his Ph.D. in 1989. Mohler worked to strengthen the seminary’s doctrinal commitments, requiring faculty members to sign a statement of faith and establishing a more rigorous academic program.
