Wear Purple for Domestic Violence Awareness Day
This awareness holiday takes place during National Domestic Violence Awareness Month, October. This day is to raise awareness of domestic, spousal and dating violence. The color purple is used because it was a for seeking justice.
This day is also known as Purple Thursday.
It is estimated that one in three women and one in four men have suffered in an abuse relationship(s).
Purple Thursday is observed Thursday of the third full week in October since 2010.
In 2020, that falls on October 22nd.
