Walmart at University Commons to Close – This Walmart is just off Cumberland Avenue close by for students of the University of Tennessee Knoxville.

“After a careful and thoughtful review process, we have made the difficult decision to close the Walmart store at 2501 University Commons Way,” Hatfield said in a statement.

This location opened August of 2014.

The store will close on March 29 and the pharmacy will close March 15, according to Hatfield.

Pharmacy patients will be transferred to the Walmart on Walbrook Drive.

There are around 160 employees there that they will try to relocate to another job.

There are three stores within five miles of that location.

1. Clinton Highway
2. Chapman Highway
3. Kinzel Way
