When I was a Scout my old Scoutmaster always told us order to succeed, you must have the three ”D’s”.

To Succeed you need the 3 D’s

Determination – the act of coming to a decision or of fixing or settling a purpose.

Dedication– to devote wholly and earnestly, as to some person or purpose.

Desire– to wish or long for; crave; want.

I guess this is what helped me along my path to attain my rank of Eagle. I had all three of those above. I attained my rank of Eagle in July of 1994.
