The Tennessee Baptist Mission Board’s 150th Anniversary
A Journey Through Time
The TBMB’s story began in 1874, with a group of visionary leaders who sought to spread the gospel and serve the people of Tennessee. Over the years, the Board has been instrumental in planting churches, aiding the needy, and fostering a sense of community among believers.
A Year of Jubilation
The sesquicentennial celebrations are a testament to the enduring faith and cooperation that have been the hallmark of the TBMB. The year 2024 has been marked by a series of unique online-streamed events, leading up to the grand culmination at the Summit in Murfreesboro from November 10-12, 2024.
Memorable Events
- Humble Beginnings: The journey commenced with a look back at the TBMB’s heritage at the historic Sinking Creek Baptist Church in Johnson City.
- Cooperating Together: An online event on June 25 highlighted how God has moved through cooperation in Tennessee.
- Celebrating Our Stories: Scheduled for July 30 in Memphis, this event promises to showcase the diverse contributions to the TBMB.
- Tennesseans on a Mission: Set for August 13 in Knoxville, it will ignite the passion for sharing the gospel.
- Together as One: On October 1 in Chattanooga, participants will connect with the unity found in Christ.
- TBC Loves Murfreesboro: An in-person event on November 9 to minister and share the gospel.
Looking Forward
