The Great American Backyard Campout

June 27, 2015 is The Great American backyard campout (Celebrated the 4th Saturday of June each year).

So pitch that tent or even sleep under the stars! Have a nice little bonfire and roast some marshmallows and make some S’mores. Or even try something new, Campfire Cones! Maybe roast some hot dogs too. Just take this time to spend some quality time with the family. Maybe even away from all the electronics and such and get unplugged for the night and focus on God and the family.

This is a great time to take the family and campout in your very own backyard. You don’t have to go far either! I know I enjoy camping, I guess that is from where I was raised in the Boy Scouts and we went camping a lot.

While you take the family out camping, grab the Bible and read some Bible stories to your family. Have a family devotion while you are camping out.
