Teal Talk Day – an awareness day to raise awareness for ovarian cancer. #TealTalkDay #OvarianCancer
It is estimated that some 249,000 women are diagnosed with ovarian cancer worldwide. They also ask everyone to wear Teal this day too. Teal is the color for ovarian cancer.
The Teal Talk is talking to women about the risk associated with ovarian cancer and the importance of getting screened.
The Teal Talk should happen every day, but not just on this day that occurs each year on September 23.
Ovarcome founded this awareness holiday to raise awareness of ovarian cancer and to encourage everyone to talk about it. Ovarcome was founded on February 23, 2012. Ovarian cancer is a Silent Disease – but Ovarcome encourages you to be VOCAL about it!
This is similar to Wear Teal Day, but Teal Talk Day also encourages talking. Both are awareness holidays for ovarian cancer.
