Small Business Saturday – a day set aside to support your local small business in your community. (We should support them daily, not just one day a year). #SmallBusinessSaturday
Everyone is urged to support local businesses and those that are diminutive in size on Small Business Saturday. The day was developed by American Express, and quickly gained stream as the perfect opportunity to frequent retailers who may not be countrywide chain stores. Small Business Saturday is nestled right within the biggest shopping time of the year, with Plaid Friday, Black Friday and Cyber Monday all falling within a two-day stretch of time.
Supporting your small local business does make a big impact on local people. Buy Local! Too many of the BIG BOX stores have shut down many local mom and pop type businesses. That is what this day is for to shop at your local small business store! Show them support! BTW! We should do this all the time, not just the one day of the year.
For example, I do try to hit up some local fabric stores to get fabric to make face masks at SteveZ MaskZ.
This day is held annually the Saturday after Thanksgiving!
In 2020, that falls on November 28th
