(Shake, Shake, Shake) Shake Your Booty — At work the other day, changing a toner cartridge cylinder in the digital printer, you have to shake it and what came to my mind was the song (Shake, Shake, Shake) Shake Your Booty by KC and the Sunshine Band.

(Shake, Shake, Shake) Shake Your Booty

No, this is not about a Christian song. It’s just about a memory that I remembered my mom always sharing about me when I was a baby sitting in my high chair and a certain song came on.

As I mentioned before, I plan to blog about the memories that come into my mind when it comes to my mom, and even my sister who both have passed away.

(Shake, Shake, Shake) Shake Your Booty is a disco song by KC and the Sunshine Band released in 1976. The song became their third number-one hit on the Billboard Hot 100 and the Hot Soul Singles chart. It was known for its catchy chorus, moderately fast temp and danceable beat with a tempo of around 112 beats per minute (BPM) encouraging listeners to get up and move.

It definitely has a danceable beat, guess you can say baby Steve was dancing in his high chair wiggling his booty as a little baby. I bet it was a sight to see. We didn’t have video cameras or cell phones back then to capture the memories, all I have is where my mom would tell me about that memory of me and she’d shake her booty.
