Overheated

Overheated – I’m going to share a random memory about me being overheated. It was back when I was a teenager in the Boy Scouts. We went to Shiloh National Military Park in Shiloh, TN. #Shiloh #Overheated

It was 110° that day. I had a metal canteen and my water was hot. I actually don’t remember too much about it.

Shiloh National Military Park. A park about the Civil War and the Battle of Shiloh. It is actually located in Shiloh, TN about 2 hours of Memphis, TN.

I remember when we got to the end of the trail. The Ranger take me back to the camp. My scoutmaster tried to say he was overheated, so he could get a ride. At least that’s what he told me. He said he wanted a ride because the Ranger was a woman and was cute. However, I don’t remember that.

I figured I would share this random thought. It came to me from this writing prompt, shown below.

That trip had to be from the late 1980’s to early 1990’s. I know at least prior to 1994, when I attained my Eagle Rank.

105. Heat: Write about being overheated and sweltering.

Update: I found some pictures from that trip. See below.
