I never never never liked that song, but I’ve read pieces about the ‘hidden meanings’ of the various parts and how it was used in a time of persecution. I am grateful for the creativity of it … just don’t like hearing it over and over!
Thanks for your comment. As a song it is quiet interesting. But the hidden meanings are even more interesting. I never knew it, until I started doing a Christmas newsletter instead of Christmas Cards and finding articles to put in it and came across this. Happy New Year Roberta Smith.
and back at you! I mentioned once to a friend that I love Christmas music with one exception – and then he gave me an article. I did more research and found that it was a great tool for teaching kids the Bible when the Bible was forbidden to laity!

Absolutely.
They can try to take away Jesus and God but they can’t. He is everywhere. That is the greatest thing about our Heavenly Father.
He will prevail eternally. I just read in romans 1 today how He allows them to follow the wicked folly of their desires but in the end His righteous are bleesed and the reap the consequences of their evil ways. So sad for them but it is a choice. His word stands eternally.
Roberta Smith Amen to that. What man means of evil, God has good to come out of it. I am glad I know God wins! We have the ending.
