We shouldn’t just set one day aside, but everyday should be. I always tell law enforcement in uniform when I see them, thank you for their service.
National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day (LEAD) highlights the importance of showing respect and honor to the men and women who protect and serve. There is a need to show law enforcement professionals that citizens recognize the difficult and often thankless jobs they have chosen to fulfill, especially in light of recent aversion to cops and other people of authority.
National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day is held annually on January 9.
Communities nationwide are rallying behind their law enforcement personnel. On National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day, the efforts can go further to help support police officers, wardens, security staff, and others who ensure that towns and cities remain as safe as they can be.
