Naples Italian in Knoxville Closed After 48 Years

Bob Luper, owner has confirmed this eatery is closing its doors, for now at least. Their plan is to retire and sell the company to the Anderson Family. The Anderson Family owns the Tap House.

“While we have created so many lifelong memories and thoroughly enjoyed our ownership and careers operating Naples, it is time for us to pass the torch on to another family to continue the Naples tradition.”

However, the deal feel through.

Wednesday, April 24, 2019 was the last day of operation. The restaurant was packed on its last night.

Chuck Naples and Ray Ward originally opened the restaurant back in 1971.
