My Mom, Paula Elaine Klaus Patterson, Was a Prayer Warrior and she kept prayer journals too. She recently passed away and I share about it.
My Mom Was a Prayer Warrior
I knew my mom was a prayer warrior and did prayer journals, but with her recent passing I got to talk to her friend who would share how they would talk on the phone and pray. That just shows exactly how much prayer meant to my mom.
Plus, the numerous prayer journals she wrote that we have found and some written prayers in a few adult coloring books just showed how important prayer was to her.
Prayer is communication with God. It can even be oral, as well as, written. It is how we can have a relationship with our Heavenly Father.
A prayer warrior is a person who is committed to praying regularly and fervently, often for others. They believe in the power of prayer and see it as a spiritual weapon to combat evil and bring about good.
Prayer warriors are often characterized by their persistence, faith, and willingness to stand in the gap for others. They may pray for specific individuals, groups, or situations, or they may simply pray for God’s will to be done.
Prayer Journals are written prayers. The Bible is full of prayers. We can use that to write out our prayer request, prayer results and more.
If you are like me, might forget things unless you write it down as a reminder. That is why writing down prayer request can help.
Anyways we are told to pray. My mom would always ask me for prayer request and tell me those whom she was praying for during our phone calls on my commute from work or anytime we got together.
I will miss our phone calls.
I might share some of my mom’s prayer journal entries and maybe start some of my own and post them here. Plus, maybe share some of my grieving process since we all grieve differently. Writing it out could help, maybe for me or someone else … only God knows.
Please make sure to subscribe to this blog, it has been around since 2012, yes 12 years at the time of this blog post, longer when you may stumble upon it in the future. Did I mention, over 5,000 blog posts to read … so there is plenty to read.
Maybe why I blog I got it natural from my mom to write. My grammar might not be the best, but God uses the able.
I hope maybe this blog post will encourage you to rise up and be a mighty prayer warrior. We need some to rise up and stand firm in prayer.
Remember prayer is simply communication either our Heavenly Father and the best thing is He knows what we need with out us asking but we still need to speak bait our request to Him. We need to give our thanks to Him too.
If you search this blog you’ll n prayer, you will find many blog posts on it.
It’s November, which is a month of Thanksgiving and today I thank the Lord for my mom being a such prayer warrior and showing others the importance and the power of prayer … what a legacy!
In a way I am a prayer warrior but I do see myself as mighty as my mom was. Maybe the Lord will use this to make my prayer life stronger.
Are you a prayer warrior, do you have a prayer warrior or had a prayer warrior in your family, please share about it in the comments.
