“We are pleased that more than half a million people have walked through the iconic Gutenberg Gates since last November to experience the largest museum dedicated to the Bible,” said Museum of the Bible President Cary Summers. “As we enter the peak of tour season, we look forward to welcoming new and returning guests to engage with the history, narrative and impact of the most influential book ever written.”

In addition to the 565,000 visitors, Museum of the Bible is celebrating:

  • 327,994 customers served in its Manna restaurant
  • 32,018 cups of coffee served at Milk and Honey café
  • 251,310 people who participated in the Hebrew Bible walk-through

This June, Hebrew University will host an exhibit at the museum exploring the story of the Romans and the Jewish people in the first century. In July, two exhibits will open: Sacred Drama: Performing the Bible in Renaissance Florence and Noblewomen and the Bible: Seven Stories from the House of Stolberg. August marks the beginning of the Museum of the Bible-sponsored exhibit: Pilgrim Preacher: Billy Graham, the Bible and the Challenges of the Modern World.
