Merry Blogmas

Blogmas is an online trend where bloggers commit to posting content every day leading up to Christmas, typically starting from December 1st. It often involves holiday-themed articles, DIY projects, recipes, and other festive content. #Blogmas #MerryBlogmas

Since I have been blogging over 10 years I do have a lot of blog posts. So I did take one year and make a blog post with all of my Christmas and Winter Holidays all in one post.

I tend to try to post Christmas related blog post during this time, including republishing or updating older Christmas posts. The list has posts from this blog, Courageous Christian Father, and Steve Sews.

I learned about this from Olivia Lucie Blake Blog.

Blogmas is a play on two words Blog and Christmas. Yes, I know Christ is not in that and with that being said, you can use this time of blogging to Share about Christ and Christmas. Take advantage of this opportunity to reach the World via blogging.

I know about Blogtober and Blogvember and a few others including National Blog Posting Month. NaBloPoMo.

However, I never heard of Blogmas. But I guess it’s something I have been doing year out in blogging and now I know a name for it.

So if you do a blog taking this toner o spread Christmas Cheer not by singing loud for all to hear … but my publishing Christmas related blog post for all to read!

If you run out of Christmas blog post ideas Google or search for Christmas or even Holiday blog post prompt ideas or check out this list of 25+ Christmas Blog Posts.

Princess Geek shares in a Blogmas post. “This is also known as Vlogmas, if you’re a vlogger, or Bookmas if you do Booktube, and many other names depending on what sort of content creator you are.”

The term “Blogmas” is believed to have been coined several years ago, and its exact origin is not well-documented. However, it gained popularity within the blogging community as a hashtag on social media platforms like Twitter, now known as X and Instagram. The tradition has likely evolved organically over time, with bloggers embracing the concept of daily festive content creation during the month of December.

The hashtag commonly associated with Blogmas is #Blogmas. Bloggers use this hashtag across various social media platforms, such as Twitter, Instagram, and even within their blog posts, to categorize and connect their festive content with the broader Blogmas community.

No limits … just blog about anything Christmas! If you blog it they will come.

Are you posting for Blogmas?

Feel free to let me know. Maybe you were like me and dove but just didn’t know the official blogging term for it.

The End of an Era: Redbox Shuts Down All Kiosks — In a move that marks the end of an era, Redbox, the iconic DVD rental service, is shutting down all of its kiosks. This decision comes as part of a Chapter 7 bankruptcy liquidation by its parent company, Chicken Soup for the Soul Entertainment¹². For over two decades, Redbox has been a familiar sight at grocery stores, convenience stores, and Walmarts across the United States, offering a convenient way to rent movies and games. However, the rise of digital streaming services has significantly impacted the demand for physical media, leading to this unfortunate outcome. #Redbox
