Joel the Brave – a rescued Black American Short Hair Cat. He is part of the family and I would like you to meet him and please welcome him to the Patterson Furever home.
Joel the Brave
Joel the Brave will remind you, “No leave the Brave part out!”
Heather named him using Joel from the Bible and Brave because she got him around the same time she and I started to date. The Brave is from Courageous, as I do this blog ministry, Courageous Christian Father. His name suits him too!
A firefighter found three cats by railroad tracks. These kittens were about five weeks old. There were two boys and one girl in a small cardboard box. I guess being rescued by a firefighter gives Joel the Brave his fascination with firetrucks. He loves to watch them go by and even tries to make a siren noise himself.
Joel the Brave’s brother, the firefighter kept him and named him Blaze. That is a fitting name don’t you think? Heather is unsure where the sister kitten went. We just hope she went to a good home too.
Heather says he might even be a Tuxedo Cat, his sisters and brothers had more white in them. As he only has one white spot on him. He doesn’t want us to mention where it is at.
Cats love to imitate sounds, if you didn’t know that. Not only does Joel the Brave make sire sounds, he also makes a goat sound.
His favorite toy is a shoe lace string that Heather got for 50¢.
In a prior post a few years ago or so, I introduced to you Lilly Bug. Did you know our two cats, Joel the Brave and Lilly Bug have a blog called 2 Cats and a Blog. Check it out!
