Lotus 1-2-3 Day

Lotus 1-2-3 Day – On January 26, 1983 was when they began to sell this now discounted spreadsheet software.

The day was picked because as mentioned it was when this program was first sold. This software was invented by Mitchell Kapor.

Lotus 1-2-3 is a discontinued spreadsheet program from Lotus Software. It was the IBM PC’s first killer application, was hugely popular in the 1980s and contributed significantly to the success of the IBM PC.As you can see it was DOS based too.Still unsure what I am talking about? This program is similar to Microsoft Excel.

I am surprise it wasn’t January 23 instead of January 26. But, this Lotus 1-2-3 Day is held annually on January 26.
