Theatrical Releases of Pure Flix
Since its founding in 2005, Pure Flix has become the worldwide leader in producing and distributing faith- and family-friendly entertainment.
The company’s beginning focus was on the production of direct-to-DVD titles but in 2009, Pure Flix produced and distributed its first theatrical release, “In the Blink of an Eye.” The company continued with titles such as “Me Again” (2012), “Revelation Road: The Beginning of the End” (2013) and “Revelation Road 2: The Sea of Glass and Fire” (2013).
In March of 2014, Pure Flix released “God’s Not Dead,” a film about an unbelieving college professor who is challenged by a student about his faith in God. The film became an overnight success. Releasing in just 780 locations, “God’s Not Dead” earned an incredible $8.6 million in its opening weekend and landed in the top five of box office earnings, behind “Divergent” and “Muppets Most Wanted.” The film went on to surpass $60 million in domestic and $110 million in worldwide box offices.
Success
Since this success, Pure Flix has continued to solidify itself as the No. 1 Christian production and distribution studio in the world.

In 2015, Pure Flix released four theatrical films: “Old Fashioned,” “Do You Believe?,” “Faith of our Fathers,” and “Woodlawn.”
Prior to the 2016 release of “God’s Not Dead 2,” a sequel to its 2014 blockbuster hit, Pure Flix launched its own U.S. theatrical distribution arm, allowing the company to provide everything from booking services to exhibitors nationwide.
Pure Flix has a mission to release four films per year over the next three years, which will position the film company at the forefront of faith and family theatrical releases.
