God, Our Heavenly Father is Love – Attribute of God – Day 3 – On this day read 1 John 4:7-10. This is part of the 31 Days of the Attributes of God.
An attribute is a feature or features. It is a descriptive word, in grammar we may know this as an adjective.
7 Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. 8 The one who does not love does not know God, for God is love. 9 By this the love of God was manifested in us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world so that we might live through Him. 10 In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins.
1 John 4:7-10
As can we can see, love comes from God because He is love. However, He is also a Just God too. Sin has a payment, death. It must be dealt with. The good thing for the Child of God is that He loved us enough to send His Son, Jesus Christ, to die for us.
God Sent Jesus to save us a sacrifice of love for us. This verse clearly shows us that God loved us. In order to properly love, we must know God. We must be a child of God to truly love. Our life belongs to Him and we live for Him and Him Alone.
Day two showed us God is Light in that attribute of God.
Day One showed us God is faithful and it also showed a few other attributes of God too.
