God is like a Compass

In theory a compass points in the direction you need to go. In most cases, a compass really points to magnetic North. This is the definition of compass: A compass is an instrument used for navigation and orientation that shows direction relative to the geographic cardinal directions. So a compass gets you where you need to go.

International Talk Like A Pirate Day is coming up and that is why I choose to write about this. You can use this day to witness and maybe dress up like a pirate and share how God has been a compass in your life. Even a pirate uses a compass. I know this is not a Christian Movie. It has a lot of darkness in it, but the Pirates of the Caribbean the compass that Captain Jack Sparrow uses only points him to what he desires the most.

God always gets us where we need to go. It might not be the place we want to go, but it is where He wants us to go for His will. He will always point us in the right direction. He will never leave us, nor forsake us. (Deuteronomy 31:6 & Hebrews 13:5) We must learn to follow God’s direction for us. When we go the wrong way, God has way to let us know that we went the wrong way. Proverbs 16:9.

Speaking of Compasses, check out this movie God’s Compass.
