God is All-knowing – Attribute of God – Day 15. In this challenge on day 15, you had to read Isiah 55:8-11 as part of the 31 Days of the Attributes of God writing and reading challenge.
In these verses it shows the all knowledge of God. That is He is all-knowing, in theology you may have heard omniscience. We cannot even fathom that knowledge.
“For My thoughts are not your thoughts,
Isaiah 55:8-11
Nor are your ways My ways,” declares the Lord.
9 “For as the heavens are higher than the earth,
So are My ways higher than your ways
And My thoughts than your thoughts.
10 “For as the rain and the snow come down from heaven,
And do not return there without watering the earth
And making it bear and sprout,
And furnishing seed to the sower and bread to the eater;
11 So will My word be which goes forth from My mouth;
It will not return to Me empty,
Without accomplishing what I desire,
And without succeeding in the matter for which I sent it.
As I mentioned in prior days attributes, there is nothing that God doesn’t know. He knows EVERYTHING!
Since He knows everything, we cannot hide nor hide anything from Him. He knows our thoughts before we think them. Not to mention, He knows our plans way before we know our plans. The only person to truly know us 100% is God.
There is no one smarter than God either. Not a human, computer or machine. That includes, Johnny 5 from Short Circuit. Yes, I know it has some bad language in it. But in the movie Johnny 5 thought he was alive and loved input aka books aka knowledge. When you think of knowledge, we often think of books, and that includes input, putting knowledge into us. However, God doesn’t need to put knowledge in Him. He has it all. God will give knowledge to people.
I guess that is why I used an image of books from pexels for the image for this blog post.
What attribute(s) of God do you see in these verses? Feel free to share with me in the comments below.
