With the inauguration it involves being sworn in on the Bible and even includes a prayer service too. Each President elect gets to choose what Bible they want to be sworn in on prior to the January 20th date. George Washington, the first president, started this practice in 1789, where reports show Washington kissed and bowed to the Bible for reverence. When Trump is sworn in he will use the Bible his mother gave him in 1955 and Lincoln Bible. Donald Trump will be sworn in on Friday, January 20, 2017.

Donald Trump said in a video. “My mother gave me this Bible. This very Bible many years ago,” He also added, “In fact, it’s her writing, right here. She wrote the name and my address, and it’s just very special to me.”

When Trump is sworn in this quote is what is sworn by the President Elect before becoming President. “I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States.”

When Trump gets sworn in, he will not have the Bible open to a certain verse area like a lot of past Presidents did. He will have both the Lincoln Bible and the Bible his mother gave him stacked.
Not to mention, The Vice President Elect, Pence, will use the Reagan Bible for his swearing into office. Pence will also use the same Bible verse Reagan did too. “If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.” (2 Chronicles 7:14)
