Day of Unity

Day of Unity – a day to raise awareness and try to end violence against women and their children. #DayofUnity

This day is held the first Monday of October each year. In 2019, that falls on October 7.

Domestic Violence Awareness Month (DVAM) evolved from the “Day of Unity” held in October 1981 and conceived by the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence.

I couldn’t find much more about this day. It wasn’t what I thought it was about either. It is a day to raise awareness for domestic violence.
