Church helping homeless with Tiny House Villages

Church helping homeless with Tiny House Village – I’m glad to see churches reaching the people where they are and being the church.

Church helping homeless with Tiny House Village - I'm glad to see churches reaching the people where they are and being the church.

I’ve shared stories of school lunch debt paid, medical debt paid and non-violent prisoners bail paid by churches.

I hope more churches follow suit in similar outreaches. That brings me to this one church in Portland, OR building a Tiny House Village to help with the homeless population.

That is what Central Church of the Nazarene is doing with “Agape Village” on church property, that will feature 15 specially designed “tiny houses.”

They hope to have it completely finished by this summer.

If your church has done something similar, I’d love to hear about it. Please feel free to contact me and share the story.

  1. Hello I along with my Pastor are in the process of trying to start A program. We are wanting to purchase 7 pallet shelters and set them up on our church property. I feel the same and praying that other churches in Monroe where I live can either partner with us or do the same.
I have A passion to do this because I was homeless with A drug problem. By the grace of God I am A new creation.
Any advice could give we be appreciated.
