My Review of Chattanooga Zoo

My daughter and I got to review Chattanooga Zoo on August 5, 2015. My daughter and I went to the Chattanooga Ducks and then here. The Captain from there gave me great easy directions to the Chattanooga Zoo.

I really didn’t notice many signs saying about billions of years old etc. like you do at the Knoxville Zoo. I am use to the Knoxville Zoo as that is the zoo I grew up to and the only zoo I have been to, until August 5, 2015. Chattanooga Zoo is the second zoo I have been to.

I did notice the Chattanooga Zoo is small. A lot smaller than what I thought it would be. I do know they have reasonable rates for admission and to add on riding a camel and a little train, etc.

We first started to look around, we didn’t see many animals. It was kind of hot and humid out. It was overcast too. You can tell a storm or rain was coming. We did get rained on some, but not enough to soak us.

We got to walk around some more and then I noticed more animals. They do have a lot of exhibits where you go into various buildings inside and can observe the wildlife that way.

I believe my daughter and I was at the Chattanooga Zoo for about an hour or so walking around and looking at the animals. I am not totally sure if we saw all of the zoo. Even with a map, I didn’t understand the layout of the zoo. I would rather it have a direct path that you start and then you end at another point.

After walking around, we did get see a lot more of the animals that they do have. Again, they are a smaller zoo. So they don’t have as much animals as the big zoo. But, it was a nice trip to see what animals they have there.

One mom with her daughter told me they live kind of local to the Chattanooga Zoo, they go all the time. She said early in the morning, just after they feed the animals is the best time because that is when they seem to be out.

If you are in Chattanooga and have some extra time, then feel I say go check them out! They are reasonably priced. There is also free parking for the Chattanooga Zoo unlike most of the downtown Chattanooga attractions.

Amber did like the birds, there was this one white, pinkish one she liked a lot. I could also hear in the background one of the Macaws saying “Good Bye” over and over again.

Bible Lesson to incorporate at the Chattanooga Zoo

Just like the other aquariums and zoos that I have visited I believe the best Bible lesson to share with your family or group is the Creation Story. How God created all these animals and us.

Remember if you see signs, which I didn’t notice there, said billions or so years ago. We know that isn’t Biblical.

I was given 1 ticket to go review Chattanooga Zoo. I paid for the other ticket for my daughter to be able to get in. Information taken is from their website, their printed brochures and my visit unless otherwise noted.
