In Challies book he talks about the different seasons of his grief morning his son who recently passed away. So I may do something similar, but on this blog post instead of writing a book.

In future blog posts, I plan to share my sorrow, grief, morning or even memories. Might be things give me a flashback or even holidays or important dates.

Let’s look at meanings of some words:

Grief is a deep and poignant emotional distress caused by or as if by bereavement. It is a natural response to loss, and can manifest in a variety of ways, including sadness, anger, guilt, and despair. Grief can also cause physical symptoms, such as fatigue, insomnia, and changes in appetite.

I believe I have felt grief. I know I have had more fatigue than normal but that is normal. I have felt sad, I do not have my mom here anymore and life on this side will be different. But I know she is in Heaven a far better place.

Sorrow is a deep feeling of sadness or regret, often caused by the loss of someone or something loved. It can also be caused by disappointment, failure, or other painful experiences. Sorrow is a complex emotion that can manifest in many different ways, including physical symptoms like crying, fatigue, and loss of appetite. It can also lead to emotional numbness, difficulty concentrating, and feelings of hopelessness.

I haven’t got to cry much, maybe a little. When the funeral home showed me my mom’s plot and how close it was to my sister who passed away a few years ago I did get to cry some. Not sure if I have been sorrowful.

Mourning is the process of grieving and expressing sorrow after a significant loss, most commonly the death of a loved one. It involves a range of emotions, behaviors, and rituals that vary across cultures and individuals. Mourning can also occur after death of a loved one, while other losses, such as the end of a relationship, the loss of a job, or the diagnosis of a serious illness.

When we have the loss of someone we will experience mourning. We have all kinds of emotions, feelings and expressions. Anyways…

Writing perhaps could be a form of therapy as write can let you express yourself. Sometimes it might be only for you, but sometimes might be the benefits of others. Only God will know and use what is blogged. May God use me to share what is needed!

I plan to write on my healing, memories, grief, mourning and such.

Anyways, when a loved one dies and they know Jesus Christ, death has no sting! You know where that loved one is now… absent from the body present with the Lord. No more sin, no more sickness or pain! My mom was totally healed from all illnesses. Knowing where they are makes it so much easier. It would be a different story if you knew they didn’t accept Jesus.

Jesus is for sure the ONLY WAY to God the Father. He is a know-so soul salvation.

Anyways it is good to seek professional counseling, if you are a Christian seek a Christian counselor. My wife and I are privileged that our church has a few on hand.

Plus maybe seek out a trust wise Christian that will help mentor, talk, listen, etc.

I highly recommend you read Challies book or listen to it like I did. Remember you can use the Libby App connected to your library card to read books or listen to audiobook for free! Or order his book from Amazon.

Thank you Lord for using Tim Challies to write the book he did.
