Become a tnAchieves mentor and help an upcoming Senior High Schooler with the college transition. You are not a tutor, but a mentor. You help to encourage them to do requirements for tnAchieves. Check in on them and make sure they are keeping up with school work, that they are keeping up with the college admission process.
You do not do it for them, you ask them if they are doing it. You are not their best friend or a parent either. You do not need an education either. Just a desire to help a young person. Anyone can become a mentor. They also provide training for you. Even some mentor breakfast events too. If you don’t know an answer you can get it from tnAchieves and get back to the student.
Being a mentor is a small time investment that makes a really big impact.
