On September 7, 2016 over 400 students (9th through 12 grade) and faculty from Christ Presbyterian Academy in Nashville, TN gathered outside of Mr. Ben Ellis home to serenade him. Mr. Ellis teaches Latin and Bible at the school since 2008. The serenade was to show support for fight with cancer. Mr Ellis is battling an aggressive form of esophageal cancer. Mr. Ellis decided to stop treatment and the cancer has spread to his lungs as well. He has been undergoing treatment since 2015.

“It was one of the most beautiful things I’ve ever seen in my entire life.” Nate Morrow, Headmaster of Presbyterian Academy stated.
This video went viral after Tim McGraw shared it on September 14, 2016.
The students and faculty sing the song “Holy Spirit”
Some of the videos I that are out there of this event, leaves out a part of the song! This is what it leaves out. I had to find a video on YouTube that has it in it. Below is the line that was left out.
Holy Spirit, You are welcome here.
Lyrics below
Where my heart becomes free, and my shame is undone
By Your presence, Lord
Holy Spirit, You are welcome here.
Come flood this place and fill the atmosphere.
Your glory, God, is what our hearts long for.
To be overcome by Your presence, Lord.
Your presence, Lord.
Not long after I posted this, Mr. Ben Ellis passed away, September 17, 2016. It was only 10 days prior these students did this for him. Please keep Mr. Ellis’s family and the students and faculty in prayers.
